We started Augmented because we saw a persistent problem: hiring and retaining top software engineers in the USA and Western Europe is expensive and unsustainable. At the same time, large outsourcing firms in Eastern Europe often charge $50–60 per hour or euro, while the actual cost of an engineer to them is two to three times less. Frequently, junior developers work under the cover of seniors but are billed at the same rate, enabling margins as high as 500% above the real cost.
That's why we built Augmented - a better way for US and Western European companies to access elite Eastern European talent with full transparency and control over salaries and costs.
